Writing On Stone Visitors Centre
Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park, Alberta, LEED® Silver Certified

The new visitor and interpretive centre at Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park, began as an Alberta Centennial Legacy Project in 2004. It is located in a pristine area of Southern Alberta along the Canada - U.S. border, just south of Lethbridge in the Milk River Valley. The centre's architectural design responds to the pristine nature of the site and reflects the history of the area by keeping the building profile low on the terrain thereby preserving views and minimizing site disturbance. The form of the building reflects First Nations cultural values and includes an area within the building for public gatherings.
