Universal Rehabilitation Service Agency
Calgary, Alberta
URSA (Universal Rehabilitation Service Agency) is an organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of the brain injured. The Inglewood group home is a split 12 bedroom assisted living facility for young adults. The main level is split into 2 living units, each consisting of 6 bedrooms, dining area, kitchen area, 2 living rooms, accessible washroom, and administrative office. Common facilities shared by each 'living unit' include laundry, bathing (including a Century tub and wheel-in shower) and loading area (complete with a handicap lift). The two storey residential style home has an upper level consisting of two apartments for staff or for residents who are partially rehabilitated. Interior and exterior treatments ensure that the group home feel like a 'home' and not an institution and fits within the historical and architectural makeup of the surrounding community.
