Renfrew Educational Services Sundance School

Our education design team designed this two-storey facility with the kids in mind. As a learning environment aimed at building a positive attitude towards learning and building confidence and self-esteem, this school had to be not only functional but also provide inspiration to its users. While simple in form, the school allows for dynamic interaction with the site from a large street-facing facade to its private-play courtyard. The new school has five classrooms complete with shared washroom facilities, two multi-purpose 'gym' areas primarily used for motor skills development, several sensory rooms, assessment areas and a unique room called the 'Snoezelin Room' that provide kids a safe and colourful place to learn and play.
