West Lethbridge Library and Public / Private School Complex

SAHURI + Partners Architecture Inc. in association with J.A. Matthews Architect Ltd. are the prime consultants for the new High School and Library Complex located in West Lethbridge. This unique education solution combines both a Public High School (700-1100 students) and a Separate High School (300-400 students designed by Ferrari Westwood Architects Inc.) with a centralized Public Library. The complex will be over three football fields in length and will enhance the educational experience of the entire community. This project is pursuing LEED® certification and is currently under construction with completion scheduled for the start of the school year in 2010. Interestingly, all three buildings will share a centralized mechanical plant which will enhance energy efficiency and overall energy performance of the entire complex.
