Calgary Health Region Stryker i-Suites

SAHURI + Partners Architecture Inc. designed the Calgary Health Region’s six new Stryker i-Suite Minimally Invasive Operating Rooms (MIOR's) at the Rockyview General Hospital, Foothills Medical Centre and the Peter Lougheed Centre. The $3.6M project involved the coordination of new Stryker i-Suite surgical equipment, 'air curtain' mechanical systems, communication technology and human ergonomics. The intent was to create operating rooms which maintain the highest level of infection prevention and control while improving the ergonomics and communication ability of the surgical team.
