The Louise Riley Branch will be completed in two phases and encompasses renovations to the interior as well as the exterior of the building. The exterior upgrades include façade restoration, landscaping upgrades, new entry canopy signage and pylon signage as well as new roofing for the facility. The existing store front entry will be upgraded to include sliding doors and the main level renovation will increase shelving space and provide a consolidated area for the Technology Discovery Centre users. The Staff Room was relocated to the adjacent building to accommodate a larger Book Drop / Sorting area. New Book Drops, Self Check-out Stations, Interior Book Drops, and reupholstered seating will be incorporated. The Technology Discovery Centre and Book Drop / Sorting Area will be updated with new millwork. The interior will see new paint and flooring finishes with minor ceiling upgrades. In addition, their will be a new acoustic wall panel feature in the Children's area.
Construction of the renovation is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2009. |
