The Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CCAMH) will be an inspired and vibrant facility that will further the goals of Alberta Health Services while also enhancing the community
The project is a new community based Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health. It will house three new outpatient programs in a 3,200 m2 facility:
The Facility will be welcoming, accessible and inclusive. It will foster the creation of a connected healthy and safe mental healthcare community, encouraging well-being through an environment that encourages health — on all levels.
It will also be a model for sustainability, employing passive systems, a high-performance building envelope, and efficient and integrated building systems in order to achieve LEED Silver Certification, minimizing environmental impact, energy and resource consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. It will take advantage of and integrate with the community and neighbourhood.
CCAMH will be an efficient facility, embodying excellent short and long-term value. Materials and systems will be selected that optimize the balance between up-front costs and exceptional long-term durability. These decisions will be made with the full participation of the project team.
