City of Calgary Fleet Services Maintenance Centre (FSMC)
Located on the Shepard Operational Workplace Centre in southeast Calgary, the new fleet maintenance building is a 12 bay vehicle shop area with administrative and office support spaces, as well as a second floor office space designed to accommodate a separate City of Calgary business unit.
The original budget was intended to complete 8 bays, with the additional 4 being added in the future. Through the efforts of the team, space for all 12 bays was constructed with 10 bays fully fitted out, and 2 shelled for possible CNG vehicle maintenance in the future.

In ground maintenance pits with rolling jacks
Flat bays with in ground hoists
Exterior drive through bay for quick repairs
Crane access to 4 bays
Fall restraint for the maintenance of large vehicles
A Nederman Vehicle Exhaust Extraction System
A Fireball Lubrication System
1 Washbay
Construction was completed in May 2016 for the main build. The remaining two bays were completed and fit up as an extension of the project and were completed in December 2016.
This new facility was granted LEED® for New Construction Certification.
